process of our props

The use of props in our film was to use to create a sense of verisimilitude, this helps to make the film seem more realistic and gives the audience something to relate to. from our research we knew that props are essential in building meaning as it forms part of the mise en scene. we used a chair for daisy to be tied up to portraying a 'damsel in distress' with a sinister atmosphere.  We used a chain to tie up Daisy. we origanly planned for Daisy to have a pearl necklace, which we would then use to create a graphic match from a pearl to the moon. The pearls will signify innocence and purity, which contrasts the dark, evil precents of the moon to create a binary opposition. We also used a fake home made chloroform bottle, This was created by using a glue spray art can and using photoshop to create a chloroform lable to fit to the mesurements of the cans lable and stuck it over the top to create a more realistic and clear link to what the prop is.

Another prop we disided to use where some rubber gloves to create a dangorous, hazardoss effect,to clearly show the prop he is handling is dangourous.
